free and cheap stuff

I’ve been researching some of these “get paid to take survey” sites and many of them are quite scammy. It’s hard to find any that actually do ever reward you with anything. This one does though.. you can get gift cards to various places (you can pick which place — you earn reward points and cash them in for whatever you want later). Some of the things are entries into various sweepstakes as well. At any rate, most of em just take a minute or so of your time once u’ve joined.
note: you do have to join this site and it will ask some basic personal info just so that it can tailor the offers to you. For fun, maybe you can sign up and a friend can sign up putting in totally different info and see if you get different offers.
Not a bad way to earn a few bucks/stuff for messing around online. I’d rate it a B+/A-.

extremetech has a cool article on the 20 best free games out there. Many of them I’ve never heard of, and some are updates on old classic buyable games, like civilization. I’ve wasted many an hr on that one, back when i had hours to waste.
